This case is laid out terribly.

The mounting holes for the main board don't line up with the with my gigabyte M'board. This leaves an entire side unsupported.

There are nice engineering features totally shot in the foot by horrible screw placements, loud fans, and about 3times as many screws as a "cheap" midtower case. Plus, the damn blue flashlight used for the power LED. What's with the 10,000 cooling holes that don't line up with any case fan known to man.

The case in neither portable, nor small, nor lightweight. There have to be other cases out there that would work out 10x better.

This is the last time I waste more than $30 on a case. Just not worth any amount of money.

Does it work? Yes. Would I buy it again? Absolutely not!

Ok, to start: This is not a small cube. It's a bit bigger than you might expect. That said, you will not find a better case for full size hardware. I've been a techie for my whole life. I've done it all (fixes, upgrades, etc...), except to build my own gaming machine from scratch. I figured I was overdue.

I researched each and every component for hours. Making sure to get the absolute best bang for the buck. For my case, I wanted something smaller than a full or mid case, but also wanted to be able to use higher end hardware without size restriction.

Enter the Thermaltake LAN box. I can use everything short of a full size ATX MoBo. Well, I was able to find a perfect MicroATX for my needs. Everything else inside is full size.

Installation of everything is done in a modular fashion. The HDD has it's own mount on the bottom in front of the MoBo. The MoBo sits in it's own tray, which slides right in when you finish mounting it (I found this extremely refreshing to have so much room while putting in the motherboard, RAM, GPU, CPU w/HS&Fan) The dvd drives get mounted into another module that I would advise installing into the case last. The Power supply also has it's own bracket. I'll advise a modular PSU, since you can control the wire mess better with less wires for things you don't need.

Just know before you buy, it's shorter than most cases, but the depth is a bit more. But everything is the way it is for a reason. TONs of ventilation, quiet (for a gaming case), and a design you wouldn't mind being a part of your home theater rig.

I bought this for an HTPC. This is a great case, and easy to work with. If you are smart, you can figure out how to hide cables, but it would be easier if you had a modular power supply.

PROS:
-Sturdy construction/great build quality
-Dead silent
-Enough room for a full-sized video card
-Removable motherboard tray and drive bays
-Can fit a full-sized ATX PSU

CONS:
-Much bigger case than I thought it would be (a bit too deep/big for an HTPC case - pokes out of my TV/Media stand. I need to cut a hole in the back of my stand to make it flush)
-Not a tool-less design
-A bit difficult to plug in front facing ports, switches, and power plugs after the mobo is put back into the case (not as much of a problem if you are using a modular PSU)
